Concerning the song's giveaway, Tori says, "There are people in our lives, and we all know them, that are able to give even in the darkest of times. Even when they seem depleted. Of the new album, Tori meanwhile states, "I wanted to make a treasure, something people will value." As a precursor to the new effort, she has previewed several new materials from the record during South by Southeast (SXSW) Music Festival on March 19.
