July 15, 2009 Mariah Carey's music video for her single "Obsessed" was supposed to be debuted in "America's Got Talent" on June 15, but it was leaked hours before its premiere schedule. Directed by Brett Ratner, the video starts with her arriving at New York City's Plaza Hotel and switches to a scene where she walks down the pavement with a man stalking her from behind.

Rumor on the street suggested Mariah portrays Eminem in this video, but she denied the speculation. "I am NOT at any point in the video playing a specific person. I'm dressed as a 'stalker' in 3 different ensembles," she wrote on her Twitter.

July 13, 2009  Mariah Carey confirmed that she will make public a music video for her new single "Obsessed" in TV show "America's Got Talent" which is hosted by her husband Nick Cannon. "Just wanna let you know that the world premiere of the 'Obsessed' video is on 'America's Got Talent'," so she wrote on her Twitter.

The video which has been made available to peek through on-set pics is plotted to be unleashed on Wednesday, July 15. It is directed by Brett Ratner and was shot at New York City's Plaza Hotel in late June. It will see Mariah landing the part as a female celebrity, who represents herself, and a male stalker, who is rumored as a portrayal of Eminem.

A music video in support of "Obsessed" remix version is also promised to be premiered sometime soon. "The Remix video features rapper Gucci Mane and was shot at the same time as the original in NYC. There is definitely new hotness in the Remix that is not in the original," so a source close to the video production revealed.

"Obsessed" is the first single taken from Mariah Carey's upcoming studio effort "Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel". While the track has come out on June 16, the album will not be put forward for purchase in U.S. until August 25.

July 02, 2009 After being previewed through a bunch of on-set pictures, Mariah Carey's forthcoming music video for her new single "Obsessed" is now made available for sneak peek through its behind-the-scenes footage. The footage mainly sees Mariah dressing up as a man in a gray hoody and in a bellboy uniform.

Along with that, it is announced that the album is set to arrive in U.S. market on August 25. Before the official release date is revealed, Mariah's new album was said to be dropped in mid September.

"Obsessed" comes from the production hands of duo The-Dream and Christopher "Tricky" Stewart. It features the use of today's music trend, Auto-Tune, and is confirmed as the lead single from "Imperfect Angel". Its music video is directed by Brett Ratner and is expected to be premiered sometime soon.

In this song, Mariah reportedly shoots down Eminem. "Why are you so obsessed with me/ Boy I wanna know/ Lying that you're sexing me/ When everybody knows/ It's clear that you're upset with me," so she sings on some of the song's lines.

No comment has been made by both Mariah and Eminem regarding the rumor. But, The-Dream previously has confirmed that the track indeed is directed at someone who the singer/producer didn't disclose.

In related news, a remix version of "Obsessed" has been played on New York's radio station Hot 97. It has Mariah Carey joining forces with Gucci Mane.
