Matador Says Google/YouTube Rejected Perfume Genius Promo Video for Being "Not Family Safe"
To promote the Perfume Genius album Put Your Back N 2 It , Matador Records created a short video advertisement. The 16-second clip features footage of Perfume Genius’ Mike Hadreas in an embrace with porn star Arpad Miklos , from the ”Hood” video . However, when Matador tried to upload the video to YouTube, they say it was rejected , for ”promoting mature sexual themes” and being ”not family safe.” Both Hadreas and Miklos are shirtless in the clip, but neither is fully nude
