August 23, 2009 Fireflies by Owl City Album: Ocean Eyes [released]. Fireflies is a single by synthpop artist Adam Young, who goes by the name Owl City, from his sophomore album “Ocean Eyes”.
The song starts out with a synth line similar to that found in Lights’ “February Air”. Adam Young wrote this song about his insomnia.
